Re: Adultgamers
Fri, June 4, 2004 - 9:25 AMI work 40+, attend college full time (12-18 hour loads), have a wife and three kids, and pretty much FAIL to find the time.
I love RPGs, and used part of a weeks' vacation last year to burn thru a free trial of Earth & Beyond. But couldnt bring myself to pay for it (too much travelling around time).
I plan to enjoy Everquest someday, and have gotten a kick out of watching my brother playing some great MMORPGs while visiting him over the holiday.
But for now, the only game I can squeeze in online is Magic: the Gathering Online, a card game. An hour to duel now and then and loads of free play make it easier to manage. Its only roleplay in a distant sense of the word, though. -

Fri, June 4, 2004 - 9:58 AMHoly %$@*&, and I was wondering if I could handle going back to school part time that's a huge workload. I tried Magic couldn't really get into it and from what I heard I'm scared to get into Everquest aka "EverCrack" but I am curious about it -

Fri, May 6, 2005 - 12:29 AMEQ would indeed melt you to nothingness. I'm not saying if you got a summer free don't try it. I'm saying....it is much more awesome than even your loosest estimates can tell you, if you are the kind of person who likes a challenge.
I think of WoW as 'baby food'. EQ1 was a full meal.
And I'm getting my comp upgraded soon to play EQII. That is to say, the specific purpose of my upgrade is that game...see what I'm saying?

Re: Adultgamers
Sun, April 1, 2007 - 11:56 PMi joined this group because i want to branch off of gaming and do some internet time for discussions and such. i have all the time in the world is my thing. time is my only resource though so i don't have a lot of things happening. the one thing i won't do the the online roleplaying. i dislike how a lot of software just says to have the most powerful PC and throw in your credit card number: it seems like one's life would rest on it and the computer isn't just an object anymore after such an investment and annual fees and time invested. the chat rooms just don't feel like the fantasyRPG genre enough so i prefer RPGs that i can quest through alone but the software may provide options. beleive me, this takes some time but thats my thing.

Re: Adultgamers
Mon, April 2, 2007 - 9:44 AM*waves* H'lo. I'm 35, mother of one (he's 17 already, faints) and work part time. It's not always easy cramming gaming time in there, especially since I have equally time-hungry hobbies revolving around computers and anime, but I manage. :) It helps that I sucked my child into the hobby at an early age, and married a fellow gamer, so gaming usually is a family event for me. : )
